We are excited to announce that Trouw Nutrition is once again taking the stage at the most prestigious poultry science event in Europe: the 24th European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition (ESPN).
As a Gold Sponsor of ESPN 2025, our commitment goes beyond research. Our team of experts in the poultry industry will be sharing the latest studies, findings, and perspectives with you. We are eagerly looking forward to meeting you in person and exchanging knowledge and insights. See you next month!
This year, we’re proud to have nine scientific studies accepted for presentation—two as oral communications and seven as posters—highlighting our latest research in new technologies on phytogenics, precision nutrition, and innovative feeding strategies for both broilers and layers.
Below are the 2 studies that will be presented as oral communication:
Title: Long-Term Effect of the Initial Body Composition on Egg Production, Bone and Egg Quality of Brown Laying Hens by Clara Alfonso-Carrillo, Trouw Nutrition R&D.
In this study, we investigated the relationship between body composition (BC) at the onset of lay and subsequent productive performance in brown hens over production cycle. Weekly data collected are included egg number, egg weight, and feed intake, egg mass and feed conversion ratio. Listen to this presentation to know more about the long term effect of the inital body composition on eggs production, bone and quality.
Title: Evaluating different early-life feeding strategies on broiler performance and meat quality by Rosa Franco Rosselló, Trouw Nutrition R&D.
In this study, we investigated how different starter feed strategies affect broiler chicken growth and meat quality. The experimental diets were applied only during the first 10 days (starter phase), followed by standard commercial diets. Two types of starter feeds were compared: a standard commercial diet and a novel early life nutrition strategy. Listen to this presentation to find out more about the novel early life nutrition.
